Yoga
Yoga has been found to improve body balance, reduce bodily stress, decrease pain, and strengthen muscle groups.
In its essence, Yoga is just an organized way to do stretching combined with deep breathing exercises. The method was designed with the optimal health in mind, to give the ancient Indian Yogis a healthy body.
In athletes, research done in India with athletes that used pranayama Yoga, it has been found that with these exercises part of the training, the body is using oxygen more efficiently.
Other Indian studies have suggested that intensive yoga training results in an ability to exercise more comfortably, with a significantly lower heart rate, and with increased breathing efficiency.
Yoga has also been found to reduce bodily stress. Reducing key stresses has been recognized by many as a central method in anti aging regimens.
