Vitamin B1

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) plays a crucial role in certain metabolic reactions, including the conversion of carbohydrates into energy.

As a reverse of this function of the vitamin, individuals with thiamine deficiency have difficulty digesting carbohydrates.

From the anti aging perspective, especially important is Thiamine's functioning as an enhancer of the immune system and its ability to improve the body's ability to withstand stressful conditions.

Taking any one of the B complex vitamins for a long period of time can result in an imbalance of other important B vitamins.

For this reason, it is generally important to take a B complex vitamin with any single B vitamin.
