Thymalin

Thymalin is a peptide that is associated with immunity response and production of which declines with age.

The compound is also a thymic factor, found primarily in the epidermis of humans, and made in the thymus.

It has been found in research to stimulate immunity response and inhibit carsinogenis and to increase longevity in experimental animals.

The peptide is used to treat a number of age related diseases, especially in countries where most of the research on the compound has been done, Ukraine and Russia.

Institute of Gerontology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences has found the compound to satisfy the criteria of geroprotector appropriate for human use.

Among the group of peptides studied against age related deterioration of health, thymus has been found most effective for improving immunity functions.
