Spirulina
Spirulina is a plant based health food and supplement that contains beta carotene, Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), iron, B vitamins, and polysaccharides, sulfolipids & glycolipids.The plant also contains chlorophyll, phycocyanin, and carotenoids. Of these, especially carotenoids have antioxidant qualities. Because of the high nutritient content, the plant is considered a "superfood" by many, and the potential benefits (especially when it comes to the potential benefits of polysaccharides, sulfolipids & glycolipids) have only started to being researched. From anti aging perspective, it is worth noting that according to research, Spirulina, in addition to having a range of nutritients that benefit the body, offers beta carotene (a powerful antioxidant) in ten times more concentrated format than carrots do. If thinking about using Spirulina supplements, it is worth taking your time choosing a trustworthy supplier for your products, as according to reports, FDA has seized batches of contaminated spirulina in the past, which may be harmful if used by consumers.
