Prostatilen
Prostatilen, a polypeptide preparation from animal prostate, has been shown in research to reduce a number of symptoms of diseases related to the prostate and improve male sexual performance.
Most of these studies have been done in Russia, where the local Russian Ministry of Health has been overseeing the studies and supplying the ethic norms to the study of peptides in ageing.
The compound has been studied, in particular, for treatment of patients with chronic prostatitis and benign hyperplasia (adenoma) of the prostate.
As is the case with other peptides studied in ageing research, the compound possesses especially tissue-specific (prostate gland) and geroprotective properties.
