Passion Flower Extract
Passion Flower extract (from Passiflora incarnata) has been used in alternative medicine to as folk remedy to treat anxiety and as an aphrodisiac.
In studies the herb extract has been found to contain flavonoids, sterols, cholorogenic acid, volatile oil, and traces of alkaloids.
In addition, research has suggested that the extracts of leaves, stems, flowers, and whole plant, but not the root parts, have active ingredients that exhibit anti-anxiety effects.
As for the use in anti aging libido enhancer, some rodent studies have suggested that extracts of passion flower have aphrodisiac properties.
