Nivea DNAge
Nivea DNAge is a special combination of cell-active Folic Acid and Creatine to stimulate cell renewal from within and protect the skin cells' DNA from free radicals. The main discoveries behind this product from Nivea have to do with new findings on Folic Acid it's effects on the aging of the human skin. Particularly of interest was the fact that Folic Acid is involved in skin DNA synthesis. The relevance of skin ageing and folic acid have been shown in terms of DNA synthesis and cell turnover. Skin cells constantly divide and this process, the so-called skin regeneration, is impaired when we get older. In Nivea's own studies, they discovered that skin treated with DNAge Day Care has a higher level of Folic Acid and that the cells in these areas of the skin actually regenerate faster because the cellular DNA is better protected from external stress. Also, according to the company, Folic Acid is small enough to penetrate the skin’s barrier and have an effect on the target cells. The company aims to market the product to the age group of 40–55. One of their best-selling products Q10 Plus, is aimed at the age group of over 30 year olds. Nivea DNAge - Studies
