Microcurrent Face Lift
Microcurrent face lift has been marketed as a surgery and botox alternative, as a non-invasive face lift that uses micro-electrical pulses to tighten facial skin.In detail, the treatment session that takes about an hour uses a device that sends a micro-electrical pulse through two cotton-tipped probes to the facial area. According to the developers of this technology, the procedure mimics our own biological electrical current. With aging, according to the researchers at Ottawa natural anti-aging clinic, body's own current, which sends messages from the brain to the muscles and skin via the spinal cord and nerves, slows down and doesn't work as well. As for scientific backing to the procedure, the developers of the method cite the clinical trials at the University of Washington in 2003 that found the procedure increased - elastin fibres by 48%,
- collagen by 14%
- and blood circulation by 38%.
Scientists have also found that microcurrent facelift treatments trigger the body's production of amino acids and ATP. Both accelerate cell repair and promote healthier cell production in humans.
