Journal of Anti Aging Medicine focuses on understanding the aging process from the molecular level to the clinical level, publishing papers on both scientific and clinical research on aging.
The topics on the bimonthly journal include: Telomeres and Senescence, Free Radical Metabolism, Telomeres and Cancer, Oxidative Damage, Studies with Senescence-Accelerated Mice, Progeria (Hutchinson-Guilford and Werner's Syndrome), Regulation of Telomerase Activity, DHEA Studies, Gene Expression, Growth Hormones and Secretagogues, Enzymatic Pathways, Caloric Restriction, Apoptosis, Exercise and Aging, and CNS Aging.
The peer-reviewed journal has been around since 1998.
There is also another journal that has name very much like JAAM, but is not related. It is called the International Journal of Anti-Aging Medicine and published by A4M and Drs. Ron Klatz and Bob Goldman.
Among the first contributors to JAAM was Dr. Aubrey de Grey, of Cambridge University, in England, who is a specialist in the theory of oxidative stress and how it impacts the aging process.
