The peer-reviewed journal has been around since 1998. There is also another journal that has name very much like JAAM, but is not related. It is called the International Journal of Anti-Aging Medicine and published by A4M and Drs. Ron Klatz and Bob Goldman. Among the first contributors to JAAM was Dr. Aubrey de Grey, of Cambridge University, in England, who is a specialist in the theory of oxidative stress and how it impacts the aging process.
