Golden Seal Extract

Golden Seal extract is used in alternative medicine for intended for general body immune support.

The root of the plant is potent in terms of usage for anti aging purposes, as it has a higher alkaloid content, than the leaves, stems and flowers.

Alkaloids are class of organic compounds made up of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and usually oxygen that are often derived from plants.

In studies, it has been suggested that the main alkaloid compounds of the extract, hydrastine and berberine, show antimicrobial activity.
