Epithalamin
Epithalamin, a peptide preparation from bovine epithalamus, has been found to improve impaired neuroendocrine functions in animal studies.
This function of the peptide was found in studies with old female rats, and the rejuvenating effect was also found for the rats reproductive functions, immunity response and was found to decrease the number of tumors in the studied animals.
These effects are related to the immunostimulating and anti cancer activities of the pineal gland, which the peptide is related to.
In studies, the lifespans of mice, rats, and fruit flies have significantly increased when treated with the compound.
As is the case with most anti aging related peptides, this peptide has a very specific tissue-related range of uses.
The compound has been found to stimulate pineal gland functions.
This, in turn, relates to the antiaging effects of the peptide to melatonin, and other products by the pineal gland.
Melatonin has a range of antiaging features, including a potent antioxidant activity profile.
