DIM
DIM (Diindolylmethane) in studies has increased the specific aerobic metabolism for estrogen, increasing the chance for estrogen to be broken down into its beneficial estrogen metabolites. The compound has been suggested to produce more beneficial estrogen metabolites, which compete with testosterone for protein binding, which can help maintain a slightly higher free testosterone level. This is why some athletes use the supplement for increasing their testosterone levels naturally. Testosterone is an anabolic hormone due to its ability to promote protein synthesis. Studies are also underway in which the components efficiency to provide potential protection against hormone-dependent cancers.
