Chrysanthemum
Chrysanthemum is one of the air purifying plants found by NASA to be one of the best plants for removing formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene from indoor air.The NASA research suggests that for the plants to be effective air cleaners, it is necessary to use at least 1 potted plant per 100 square feet of home or office space. Cleaning indoor air is one of the cornerstones in high quality anti aging regimens, as indoor air is home to many pollutants. In addition to using plants, many use air purifiers for best air cleaning results. In the NASA study that brought several houseplants into the anti aging spotlights, the researchers lead by Dr. Bill Wolverton tested the effect of fifteen house plants on three pollutants known to be present in spacecrafts. These same three pollutants are present in homes and office buildings. They are present because they are emitted from furnishings, office equipment, and some building materials. Under controlled conditions, in the NASA study, certain houseplants were found to remove as much as 87 percent of indoor air pollutants within 24 hours. Chrysanthemum - Studies
