Cat's Claw ExtractAs an anti-inflammatory agent, the herb has been suggested to be potentially an effective treatment for osteoarthritis and probably rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, from anti aging perspective, the extract is a potent inhibitor of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)alpha production. The primary reason why this happens has been suggested by research to be immunomodulation via suppression of TNFalpha synthesis. Overall, the compounds in the herb extract have shown remarkable antioxidant activity.
