Butcher's Broom Extract

Butcher's Broom extract has been used in alternative medicine as herbal to improve circulation, relieve constipation, and to relieve water retention discomfort.

The main active ingredients, believed be responsible for the beneficial effects of the herb extract are steroidal saponins.

From anti aging regimen viewpoint, it is important to note that it has been suggested that the herb extract may also lessen cramps, swelling, and other symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that occurs when valves in the veins that carry blood back to the heart are weak or damaged.

In this regard, much of the current research on the plant extract concentrate's on the plant's use for the treatment of orthostatic hypotension (a drop in blood pressure after standing).
