Botox Anti Wrinkle Cream

Botox anti wrinkle cream products often refer to the "botox-like" results of an ingredient called Argireline.

Argeriline is the commercial name for Acetyl Hexapeptide 3, which was found by European researchers (Spanish company Lipotec manufactures it) in a study published at the International Journal of Cosmetic Science to have a relaxing effect on the skin muscles, thus producing the botox-type results when applied.

The published study results for the compound used a formula with a 10% concentration of acetyl Hexapeptide-3.

The reduction in the depth of wrinkles was up to 30% after 30 days of use.

Higher concentrations did not yield different results from the 10%, even though some manufacturers claim that the higher concentrations make a difference.

There are several products that use acetyl hexapeptide. One of the most famous creams using it is Principal Secret Reclaim, marketed by actress Victoria Principal.

The aim is to topically target the same wrinkle-formation mechanism that Botox treatment does, but in a very different way.

Argireline cream interferes with certain naturally occurring compounds in your face (Catecholamines, which are neurotransmitters) to relax the muscle. Botox, in contrast, is injected to the facial muscles with a needle.
