Bindweed Extract
Bindweed extract, from Convolvulus arvensis, has in research demonstrated powerful angiogenesis (a fundamental step in the transition of tumors from a dormant state to a malignant state) inhibiting properties. It shares this activity with Shark Cartilage, but it has been suggested that bindweed is 100 times stronger than shark cartilage in this regard. The compounds found in the extract that are behind this activity are called proteoglycan mixture (PGM) in research. Also important from anti aging viewpoint is that in research, PGM has also been found to be a moderate immune stimulator. From consumption viewpoint, it is important to note that bindweed, before the extraction process, does contain toxic alkaloids.
