Beta Glucan
Beta glucan (Beta-1,3/1,6-Glucan) is a polysaccharide has shown promise for anti-tumor and immune response stimulating properties.
In animal and human cell culture studies, researchers have found that the compound can stimulate several aspects of immune function, such as phagocytosis and interleukin production.
Also, the compound may be helpful in blood sugar control and reduce serum concentrations of total and LDL cholesterol.
The compound has been very popular among those on exercise regimens, partly because of the compounds effects on blood sugar control, but also because studies have shown to reduce bodily stress caused by exercise in animal (with mice) studies.
