Ashitaba

Ashitaba (Angelica Keiskei Koidzmi) contains "Xanthoangelol" and "4-Hydroxyderricin" (chalcones found to be specific to the plant by Dr Kimie Bab) which are associated in Japanese research done by Osaka University to strengthen the immune system.

Ashitaba is a specie of the celery family. It is used widely in Hachi Jo Island (known as the "Longevity Island" in Japan, as the population is known for their long life spans) where it is also known as the "Longevity Herb".

The Ashitaba grown in Hachi Jo Island differs from other other types of Ashitaba available, and only Ashitaba grown on Hachi Jo Island is approved by medical study and research in Japan.
