Alkaline Diet
Alkaline Diet aims to help body keep the bloods PH in the optimal zone at about 7.36, which is slightly Alkaline, thus the name.
The most outspoken promoter of the diet program is Anthony Robbins, who found the diet program in his continuous and newer ending quest for improving his life, and in this case, for optimum energy (and health). That's why he calls the Anthony Robbins diet part of the Get The Edge "Alkalize and Energize". The problem with most foods today, according to the diet promoters, is that most foods are acidic in nature, while body thrives on foodstuff that can help it keep the correct blood balance of 7.36, which is slightly Alkaline. The diet aims to promote this Alkaline composition with using majority of the consumed foods from items that are alkaline in nature, such as most vegetables. Some also use this diet as a temporary detoxification diet program, but the long term health effects promoted with the alkaline diet only become evident, again, according to the promoters, only after continuous use of the dietary guidelines. Alkaline Diet - How to Start On the DietThe principles of the dietary program are based on simple science of how certain types of foods are alkaline and which are not. Therefore, some use this program as a basis to choose alkaline food items that they then use as a basis for other popular diet programs that have a solid footing on science, such as the Zone Diet. The basics of the diet program can be found from many books that describe how to choose alkaline and acid foods to your diet.
